I,
clannoire, have created this LiveJournal to house my reviews of numerous books I've read. I may occasionally recommend a piece of fanfiction or two. ;)
My book reviews will incude these bits of information:
Book Title:
Author:
Genre:
Summary:
General Review:
i) Plot and Storyline :-
ii) Characters :-
iii) Narrative Flow :-
High Notes:
Low Notes:
Re-read Value:
Memorable Lines:
Informative Link/s:
I'm overly fond of obscure titles, and tend to sway towards the fiction genre, particularly fantasy, sci-fi, gothic, and historic, as well as those modern fairytale from the like of Neil Gaiman that seem to be gaining popularity nowadays. =D
If I'm reviewing a book which is part of a series, I'll be sure to give prior warning if I've finished reading the series or not.
Disclaimer:
I may be qouting excerpts from certain books. Please be aware that qouting excerpts from any material, printed or otherwise, for reviewing purposes is entirely legal by copyright law. I am not making any money from my reviews, of course.
Opinions:
I am also aware that not everyone will agree with my opinions. If I happened to like a book that you disliked or vice versa, I respect your views and expect you to respect mine. Each to his own, eh?
... ?
Before you ask, "Why Fwooperquill?" ... it's because I'm an avid fan of J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter series, and a Fwooper is a species of bird featured in the books. It emits a mysterious call which renders the listener insane. (Most often the result of those who listen to me far too long!)
And the girl in my icon is Jennifer Connelly, from 1987's The Labyrinth. Great movie, lovely actress. ^.^
